Release Notes - Screenshot-to-Quote: Turn Any Carrier Quote into a Client Proposal in Seconds

Jon Corrin
Chief Executive Officer

Skip the manual data entry. We're continuing to make your daily workflow faster and more efficient inside the XILO Chrome Extension. With our new Screenshot-to-Quote feature, you can capture a screenshot of any carrier quote—from any website—and let AI extract the quote details automatically.

How Screenshot-to-Quote Works

Creating a proposal shouldn't mean retyping information you already have on your screen. Here is how you can turn a quote into a proposal in three simple steps:

  1. Capture: Click the screenshot button directly in the extension while on any carrier site to capture the quote on your screen.
  2. Extract: XILO’s AI instantly reads the screenshot and auto-fills the carrier name, premium, effective date, policy line, and quote number.
  3. Review & Send: Verify the extracted data, make any necessary adjustments, and immediately share the proposal with your client via a secure link or email.

Key Details to Keep Your Workflow Moving

Context and flexibility matter when you are building out proposals for your clients. We've built this feature to adapt to how you already work:

  • Universal Compatibility: This works on any carrier website. There are no clunky integrations or specific carrier partnerships required.
  • Smart Calculations: If the expiration date isn't explicitly shown on the quote, the extension automatically calculates it based on the policy term.
  • Complete Control: Extracted data is fully editable before you hit send, ensuring you always have the final say on what the client sees.
  • Drag & Drop Uploads: Have quote documents saved locally? You can drag and drop PDFs, images, Word docs, or Excel files straight into the quote entries for quick extraction or to attach them as reference files.
  • Multi-Quote Proposals: Need to present options? You can support multiple quotes in a single proposal. Screenshot one option, manually add another, or pull in existing quotes directly from the client's profile.

These updates are live now in the XILO Chrome Extension. If you haven't installed it yet, reach out to your account manager to get started.
